STORY

TigerLine Advisory was founded in 2026 by Will Silton after nearly 20 years in leadership roles in General Management, Operations, Sales, Corporate Development, and Investment Banking. Will ran businesses within large corporations and private equity firms; acquired and integrated founder-led businesses; and advised owners on the sale of the business their family built. Will gained immense fulfilment from these roles, but one problem grew to deeply resonate with him: today’s independent businesses are outmatched in the M&A environment and rely on multiple advisors whose specific mandates often fail to drive real value for clients.

Despite a recent, rapid evolution of the buyer community - including the proliferation of highly acquisitive lower-market private equity firms, search funds, independent searchers, and digital buy-side platforms - there has been little evolution of advisory resources for sellers, who may jump at a cold bid without knowing what their business could be worth, or spend years trying to sell their business hoping buyers will improve their valuations. What’s more, these businesses could realize far more value for what they’ve built by taking the time to build just a bit more - and attract a wider set of buyers.

This is why Will built TigerLine and where the true power in partnering with TigerLine lies.‍ ‍We are a new, uncommon type of advisor - a turnkey provider of the full arc of advisory services needed to improve, prepare, and successfully sell client businesses so owners don’t leave value on the table, can secure a lasting legacy, and can do right by their employees, customers, and communities.

MISSION

Our name reflects more than an appreciation for one of nature’s most remarkable animals. It represents a desire to be different and our philosophy for how we believe business should be approached: with strength, discipline, patience, focus, and purpose.

We have long admired the Tiger for the way it moves through its environment. It is powerful, but does not need to constantly demonstrate its power. It is patient and observant, conserving its energy until the right moment to act. It is adaptable, capable of navigating changing environments, and intensely focused when pursuing a goal. The Line represents direction and connection - between strategy and execution, opportunity and action, challenge and solution. It is the most optimal path to turn insights into results.

The objective is not to move for the sake of moving, but to move with clarity and purpose. That is the mission behind TigerLine.

WHY US

Why us? For one, we’ve been on the front lines before. Some consultants may apply excellent frameworks and maybe even have operating expertise, but have never run an M&A process; some investment bankers or business brokers know how to sell a business, but have never worked inside one - managing a shop floor, building a sales team, launching a product, or executing a strategic initiative.

TigerLine’s value proposition is anchored by a unique skill stack of operating acumen and M&A fluency. Founding Principal, Will Silton, built this skillset through business experiences well fit for clients seeking new strategies for revenue growth, increased profitability, and when ready, a sale of the business.

  • Northeast Regional President at Canopy Service Partners, a national platform of tree and landscape services companies backed by Alpine Investors. Will ran Canopy’s largest operating region consisting of six businesses, integrating them into one operating system and working side-by-side with Founders and their teams to continue building their businesses after each acquisition.

  • Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing at EnviroLogix, a Maine-based biotech and worldwide leader in the development of highly engineered diagnostics for the global agriculture and grain supply chains. Will spearheaded double-digit organic growth in a single-digit growth market, doubling the company’s revenue organically in four years. He led annual initiatives to develop and launch new products and beat out competitors for multi-million dollar deals in Fortune 250 accounts. Will focused on building the organization’s Sales function; he doubled the team, developed playbooks focused on enterprise and competitive selling, installed process, and integrated Salesforce.com CRM.

  • Director, Operations at EnviroLogix. Will ran a 70-person shop floor, elbow-to-elbow with engineers, manufacturing and procurement managers, and QA specialists.

  • Director, Corporate Development at Ensign-Bickford Industries, a $2B conglomerate. Before moving to EnviroLogix (an EBI subsidiary), Will built EBI’s M&A playbook and corporate development function, and acquired three Aerospace & Defense businesses.

  • Advised and successfully supported the sale of multiple founder- and family-owned businesses in a variety of industries including healthcare IT and manufacturing as a sell-side investment banker at Shields & Company, a Boston-based boutique firm.

  • Will is also a graduate of Middlebury College (BA, International Economics) and Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business (MBA, General Management).
